Cost Controller
Job description
- Follow-up on client own operated drilling activities
- Estimation of cost and perform Cost controlling and reporting against work program, budget and plans
- Input to client corporate planning, budgeting and long term forecasts according to agreed processes and guidelines
- Support the Procurement process
- Support in commercial tender evaluations
- Support in JV audits and other audits of relevance
- Prepare reports/presentations of cost/status to ensure that all relevant functions and disciplines within client are kept appropriately informed
- Make daily updates of all relevant cost and progress issues during operation
Qualifications
- Broad Controlling/Drilling/Well industry knowledge and experience preferred
- 5+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry within fields of Activity like Drilling, Cost Control, budgeting and reporting
- Good SAP knowledge and experience preferred (primarily WBS structure)
- Good Economics model knowledge and the upstream value chain
- Sound knowledge of Financial metrics, Oil & Gas value chain
- Financial understanding of JV Accounting, time writing, recovery and recharge process
- Technical understanding of Drilling and Well operations
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Verbal Norwegian preferred, but not a requirement
