Design/Draft Pipe Support PDMS
Job description
- Designing and drafting Pipe Supports with use of PDMS
- Carry-out basis calculations of pipe supports
- Prepare, check and approve MTO
- Collaborate with stress and pipe engineers for optimal design
- Insert data to engineering registry
- Give input to plan and to estimate own scope
- Produce requisitions
- Checking of pipe support drawings
- Participate on site surveys (on-/ offshore)
Qualifications
- Minimum technical college or bachelor degree
- Minimum 5 years of piping experience in pre-engineering, detail engineering, prefab and installation
follow-on and as-built phase in Norway
- Have good knowledge of pipe supports
- Be able to use 3D design and have good experience in use of PDMS for both design and draft
- Read and understand P&ID, isometric drawings
- Know and understand the principles behind piping arrangement
- Have good knowledge to max span and flexibility evaluation
- Knowledge about Aibel specific tools for discipline in execution of work, and have acceptable skills in
using tools to carry-out work as expected by position
- Be familiar with the other main subject areas within piping (PDMS design/draft, support, stress, layout,
material handling)
- Have good knowledge of laws, standards and norms applicable for the discipline
- Have some understanding of material technology
- Statoil experience is preferable
- Experience and willing to travel offshore for surveys
