Lead Subsea Engineer

Job description

Lead Subsea Engineer who will be responsible for development and follow-up of the delivery of subsea production systems. This work includes follow up of the ITT and procurement process, design, fabrication (or modification to existing designs), testing and installation during the project execution phase.

 

-Apply deep technical and commercial knowledge and experience with SPS equipment to identify and resolve technical problems within cross discipline studies and reviews

-Author technical and functional requirement for the subsea production system equipment

-Participate in the evaluation of technical tenders, and in subsequent clarifications and negotiations

-Manage delivery of the complete Subsea Production System. Ensuring all subsea work is in full compliance with Company Management System

-Ensure that the technical solutions meet project and statutory requirements

-Control and implement quality in all phases of chosen contractor's work for the Subsea Production Systems

-Perform the role of client representative offshore when necessary and manages the installation Subsea Production Systems

-Seek and share lessons from suppliers, other operators and within Company

-Ensure continuous improvement during planning and operations

-Ensure good communication with all relevant disciplines and stakeholders in the project

-Where necessary, initiate and contribute to improvements of guiding documents

-Identify and handle dispensations and non-conformances where necessary

-Interface with the rest of the SPS team, D&W team and topside team

-Through the above, contribute to the project being delivered on time, on cost and with the right quality

 

Qualifications

MSc or equivalent in mechanical engineering or similar

Minimum 10-15 years of experience working with SPS equipment and subsea projects

Extensive and in-depth technical knowledge and know-how of subsea production systems, from design, production, installation to operation

Experience working for O&G Operators

Familiar with relevant international and Norwegian standards

Knowledge of methods and working processes applied in multidiscipline project work within the industry

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Verbal Norwegian preferred, but not a requirement

Excellent organizational skills and a structured way of working

Team player, proactive, and service minded

Liaising with contractors, vendors, project and support personnel
