Structural Engineer

Job description

Perform PDMS structural design including 2D draft work. Examples of strucures could be:

- Design of deck structures

- Reinforcements of existing steel

- Walkways

- Access platforms

- Stairs & ladders

- Update existing drawings by using Microstation 2D

The candidate should also be responsible for:

- Reporting of status / progress for own work to DRE/Team lead on a regular basis

- Ensure quality and self-check of own work performed

 

Qualifications

- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in structural engineering

 - Long experience, minimum 10 years, within offshore modification project in Norway
- Broad experience in use of PDMS software
- Have good understanding design of secondary outfitting structures

- Norsok standards

- Previous participation in FED studies and EPCIC procjets

- Previous experience with Statoil procedures and standards (preferable)
- Experince with MS office standard software

- Be systematic and accurate
- Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
- Have the ability to see multiple design - cases (solution oriented)
