Senior Piping Engineer

Job description

• Especially responsible for piping detail Standard in project
• Provide new and better alternative solutions
• Specialist in piping specs and materials
• Find solutions for weight reducing & cost efficiency design
• Be responsible for design in accordance to TR 2000 and challenge these requirements
• Give input to plan and estimating own scope of work
• Run 3d review tool at design review
• Raise NCRs/DISP/TQ to Statoil
• Close cooperation with customer (Statoil)
• Responsible for special items- (TR2000 Piping specs)
• Identify, evaluate and resolve problem

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor engineering degree
• Have profound knowledge and understanding of the principles in piping design
• Expert in piping detail standards
• Extensive knowledge in ASME codes
• Have good and broad process understanding
• Experience in creating new piping specs
• PED experience
• Have knowledge in use of 3D review tools
• Have very good knowledge to laws, standards and norms within the disciplines
• Have good multi discipline understanding
• Have good knowledge and understanding of subjects as fatigue, vibration and damping
• Have good knowledge and understanding insulation of pipe, including passive fire protection and acoustic insulation
• Experience with Statoil is preferable
