Pipesupport engineer

Job description

• Design pipe supports in PDMS
• Carry-out basic calculations of pipe supports
• Prepare, check and approve MTO
• Insert data to engineering registry
• Give input to plan and to estimate own scope
• Produce requisitions
• Participate on site surveys (on-/ offshore)  

Qualifications

Masters or bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering

Required Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas industry in Norway
Broad experience in design of pipe support with use of PDMS incl. draft
Have good knowledge to max span and flexibility evaluation
Be familiar with the other main subject areas within piping (PDMS design/draft, support, stress, layout, material handling)
Have good knowledge of laws, standards and norms applicable for the discipline 

Required Qualifications

Have good communication skills in English and Norwegian(preferable) both orally and in writing
Have a cooperative working attitude
Be systematic and accurate
Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
Have the ability to see multiple design – cases (solution oriented)
