Mechanical Package Engineer

Job description

  • Package responsible engineer for mechanical equipment, chemical injection skids, static process equipment and lifting appliances.
  • Carry out work according to applicable procedures and work instructions.
  • Prepare and issue Package Specifications / technical requisitions and equipment data sheets.
  • Technical ecaluation of supplier quotations including preparation of technical bid comparisons.
  • Technical liaison with suppliers and with other engineering disciplines.
  • Review and commenting of supplier documentation.
  • Check compliance to relevant authority regulations, relevant codes and standards stated in supplier's documentation, and requirements stated in the contract.
  • Ensure that supplier's work is performed according to relevant instructions 7 procedures and in accordance with the contract.
  • Identify and report any extra work related to changes in the scope of work.
  • Evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests.
  • Perform inspections and witness testing of equipment packages.
  • Endure timely delivery of equipment and final documentation.



 

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor or similar, preferred Master. 


Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience as Mechanical Package Engineer within the oil & gas sector.
  • Experience with major modifications on live platforms.
  • FEED experience.
  • Previous experience with mentioned equipment, package follow up, and multidisciplinary engineering. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Have good communication skills - both orally and in writing
  • Have a cooperative working attitude
  • Be systematic and accurate
  • Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
  • Thorough knowledge to regulations, standards and Statoil TRs related to above mentioned equipment.
